    Kevin Jeffries, 66th Assembly District, is currently President and partner of his privately held investment firm Maxson Investments, and works for the Riverside County Fire Department.  Kevin is a native Californian and moved to Riverside County in 1971.  Kevin and his wife Christina have been married for 23 years.  They reside in Lake Elsinore and have two adult children.  Kevin, age 45, comes from an entrepreneurial family with a history of successful business ventures in manufacturing, investments, retail and custom car designs.  Kevin is a graduate of Elsinore High School and has been pursuing management and fire science courses through Riverside Community College.

   Kevin Jeffries is a lifelong conservative Republican with a proven history of working for core Republican values.  From January 1999 to January 2006, Kevin served an unprecedented seven (7) years as Chairman of the Republican Party of Riverside County.  Kevin currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Riverside County Lincoln Club, Southwest Riverside County Lincoln Club and is the former 36th District Director for the California Republican Assembly.  Having first been appointed in 1994 by former State Assemblyman Bruce Thompson, Kevin currently serves as a delegate to the California Republican Party and has served on its Executive Committee, Platform Committee and County Chairmen’s Association. Kevin is also an Associate member and proud supporter of our local Republican Women Federated organizations.

Public Safety Career

   With 28 years and over 4000 emergency responses, Kevin has a long trusted history of public safety service.  Kevin started as a Volunteer Firefighter in 1977 and worked up to the rank of Engineer.  In 1992 Kevin was promoted to head up the Riverside County Fire Department Mobile Emergency Operations Center Team, where he now holds the rank of Volunteer Captain. Kevin has received five meritorious Service Awards, and was awarded honors from Brigadier General James D. Delk for his service during the Los Angeles riots.  Kevin has been an advocate of increased public safety staffing and has served several years as a Fire Department Emergency Services Coordinator, Volunteer Firefighter Program Manager and Grant Writer, successfully obtaining several million dollars in grant funds for critically needed fire and rescue equipment.  Kevin, and his wife Chris (who works for a local Law Enforcement agency), are truly dedicated to making our communities safe.
